share.
Project Introduction:
I am working on the Creative Conscience organisations social issue brief. And what they do is assist with the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) to create a better world for us to live in. The Creative Conscience believes that with a bit of creativity, we can make a change.

The SDG that I am working with in this project is the SDG 10 which is Reducing Inequality. The wicked problem that I am focusing on is Discrimination. But more specifically a lack of Empathy and Connection can lead to discrimination.
User Personas:
The solution:
I had to look a lot deeper to find a solution for the problem of discrimination. I have conducted a lot of research, primary and secondary, to come to a conclusion of what the ‘hidden obvious’ is. This hidden obvious is the lack of empathy and connection that people have towards one another. So how I am combating this is by focusing on a ‘three touch-point’ solution.

Concept:
The campaign is called ‘share.’, because we come to the website to share our stories. We come here to share our emotions and empathy towards one another, and where we come to connect with one another over shared experiences.

The goal of the campaign is to teach people more about their emotions, to teach them about empathy, and that sharing experiences with one another can create beautiful art. Once we are more in touch with our own emotions can we be open to others. Only then can we learn to be kinder towards our peers and only then can we truly start to accept one another.

Graphs From Questionnaires:
I had a rather small group of 22 individuals for my questionnaires. In the graphs below, I included the feedback I received from them as well as some of my thoughts on the results. The first 4 graphs cover the topic of discrimination and what my users have experienced.
User Flow:
Below is a user flow chart that I created. This indicates the journey that someone will take when using my website.
Site Map:
Below is a site map that I crafted, with the intent to map out the layout and information structure of my website.
Website:
The website is a sharing point for people to come and tell their stories. During this story telling process, the website will (through use of AI) generate a unique artwork that is based on the person's story. This artwork will measure words and phrases to generate an abstract art piece that is one of a kind.

Other users will have the chance to 'share empathy' and contribute to the artwork, and so the art will grow into a beautiful story, from the person telling it, to the people connecting with it. This will also be a space where the user will be able to learn more about these emotions and learn more about our Creative workshop.
The Workshop:
The aim of the online workshop is to bring the website idea into a physical space where companies can participate in these creative exercises. This will be an activity where a group of people will come together to watch the online YouTube videos, and take part in the exercises. After watching the video
the group will be asked to paint something using colours or to paint a story that gives them a chance to express themselves.

This painting will be explained to the group, and this will give the group a chance to ‘contribute’ or share empathy to the person’s story. This is shown by ‘adding to the painting’. This will give the group a chance to listen to a story and then engage with it.

Perhaps consider that this can be in an anonymous space as well. People can create art and write out (or type out) a prompt about themselves, paint it, and then someone else can come and contribute to the artwork.

For continuation in the future:
The company will be given a jar with coloured stones, the aim of this jar is for employees to still express how they are feeling.

The jar should be placed in a common area where a lot of employees will walk past or engage in, such as the company kitchen or perhaps they have a meeting in a boardroom every morning, and such employees can add a stone into the jar to express how they are feeling. This is so that the employee has to stop and think for a second about how they are feeling. At the end of the day, the company can take 5 minutes to work together to sort out the stones, to be ready for the next day. Or, there can be a ‘sorter box’ implemented, where certain stones are bigger than others and fall through holes at there respective areas. This will make the sorting process a lot easier and more efficient.
Thank You for Viewing the project!
